Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you ride. Still stuck? Hit us up.
Do I need a license to ride a Dart e-bike?
No license, registration, or insurance is required in most U.S. states. The Dart20 is Class 2 compliant (20 MPH), and the Dart24 can be configured for Class 2 or off-road modes. Always check your local and state e-bike laws before riding, as regulations vary.
What's the difference between the Dart20, Dart24, and Dart20-S?
The Dart20 runs a compact 20" x 4.0" fat tire setup with a 48V 10Ah battery and a 20 MPH top speed — quick, agile, and Class 2 compliant. The Dart24 stretches out with 24" x 3.0" tires, a bigger 48V 14Ah battery, and a 28 MPH top speed in off-road mode. The Dart20-S takes the compact platform and adds an 80mm suspension fork, the 14Ah battery, and a moto-inspired front plate. Check the comparison chart above for the full spec breakdown.
How far can I ride on one charge?
Roughly 20 miles on throttle alone, and up to 40 miles with pedal assist, depending on rider weight, terrain, and assist level. Real-world riding with mixed throttle use typically lands in the 20–30 mile range.
How long does the battery take to charge?
A full charge from empty takes roughly 4–6 hours using the included charger. The battery is removable, so you can charge it on or off the bike.
Does the bike come assembled?
The Dart ships mostly assembled. You'll attach the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seat — basic tools are included, and most riders are rolling in under 30 minutes. If you'd rather leave it to a pro, any local bike shop can handle final assembly.
What's the rider height range for each model?
The Dart20 and Dart20-S fit riders roughly 4'10"–5'10", while the Dart24's larger frame fits riders 5'3"–6'1". If you're between sizes, most riders prefer the feel of the smaller bike for street riding.
Can I ride in the rain?
Yes — the Dart's electrical system is water-resistant and handles rain, puddles, and wet streets fine. Avoid full submersion, don't pressure-wash the electronics, and dry the bike off after soaked rides to keep everything running clean.
What's the warranty and return policy?
Every Dart is backed by a manufacturer warranty covering the frame, motor, battery, and electrical components against defects. If something's not right out of the box, reach out to our support team and we'll make it right. See our warranty page for full terms.
How fast will my order ship?
In-stock bikes ship from our U.S. warehouse within 1–3 business days, with delivery typically in 3–7 business days depending on your location. You'll get tracking info as soon as your Dart is on the way.
