One of the first Fairdales that Fairdale ever made was the Weekender. Envisioned as a “light-tourer” that would work as a weekday commuter and a weekend getaway machine.

Over the years they have refined the Weekender, but its focus has stayed the same. The riding position is comfortable for the long haul or an evening ride. The shifting is wonderfully simple to use, and the disc brakes get a nice power-boost from our own Linear Slic Kables, made for us by Odyssey®.

The Weekender has a redesigned geometry to work with 27.5 x 2.1" tires, and also leaves plenty of space for compatibility with 700c wheels if you ever feel like changing it up.*

Matte Black is available in Medium, Large, and X-Large.
Matte Coral Red is available in X-Small, Small, Medium, and Large.

What Is OCEV?

According to California Bill No. 1271 (SEC.2312.5(d)), certain vehicles are specifically excluded from being classified as electric bikes under this code. These vehicles are categorized as Out of Class Electric Vehicles (OCEVs) for the following reasons:

Highspeed Potential: Vehicles with two or three wheels that are designed by the manufacturer to be modifiable for speeds greater than 20 miles per hour on motor power alone or exceeding 750 watts of power.
Post Sale Modifications: Any vehicle that has been modified to attain speeds greater than 20 miles per hour on motor power alone or to exceed 750 watts of power.

These exclusions ensure that only properly classified e-bikes can be markets as such, maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance. Riders of OCEV's should be aware of the different legal requirements and responsibilities associated with these vehicles.

Additionally, OCEVs are designed to offer performance and features beyond what traditional e-bikes can provide. Always verify the intended use and ensure you are compliant with local and state regulations when operating an OCEV.
