Classic pit bike energy, rebuilt electric.
The Crew Mini and Mini-X pack pit bike attitude into a compact electric ride built for pure fun. Both run 20″ wheels, a chromoly loop tail frame, and a low, planted stance — no pedals, no chain, just throttle. The Mini keeps it playful and approachable. The Mini-X turns everything up: more power, more speed, more stopping force. Compare both builds below.
The Mini Lineup

Mini-X
The full-send build. A 1000W motor, 52V 17Ah battery, and 4-piston hydraulic brakes — way more punch than something this small has any business having.

Bike feels incredible. I used to BMX and this is making me want to get back to riding. I'm 5'10″, 240 lbs and this bike is a blast — worth the money.

Wheelie monster. About 130 miles in and it's a blast — you can pop the front up easily. Would definitely recommend.

Bought this as my son's first e-bike. I like that the speed isn't too crazy — overall we are happy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you ride. Still stuck? Hit us up.
What's the difference between the Mini and the Mini-X?
Same chromoly loop tail frame, same 20″ wheels, same pit bike setup — the difference is power. The Mini runs a 500W motor with a 48V 10.4Ah battery and tops out at 15.5 MPH with mechanical disc brakes. The Mini-X steps up to a 1000W motor, a 52V 17Ah battery, a 32 MPH top speed, wider 3.0″ Blockster tires, and 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes to match. Check the comparison chart above for the full breakdown.
What rider size fits the Mini and Mini-X?
Both bikes fit riders roughly 4'0″ to 6'0″ tall, with a weight capacity of 300 lbs. Despite the name, the 20″ BMX-style platform rides comfortably for adults — many riders describe it as a full-size 20″ BMX feel.
Are these street legal? Do I need a license?
The Mini-X is designed as an off-road only electric vehicle — ride it legally, safely, and responsibly on private property and designated riding areas (18+ recommended). The Mini, with its 500W motor and 15.5 MPH top speed, is classified as a motorized scooter under California Vehicle Code. E-bike and off-road EV laws vary by state and county, so always check your local regulations before riding.
Do these bikes have pedals?
No — that's the point. Both the Mini and Mini-X run a pure pit bike setup: no pedals, no chain, no drivetrain maintenance. BMX-style foot pegs and a thumb throttle. Just hop on and ride.
How far can I ride on one charge?
The Mini-X gets roughly 20–40 miles per charge, and the Mini gets 25–35 miles — depending on ride mode, terrain, and rider weight. Lower assist modes and smoother terrain stretch the range.
How long does charging take?
The Mini-X includes a 52V 3A charger and the Mini includes a 48V 2A charger. A full charge from empty typically takes around 4–6 hours.
Does the bike come assembled?
Bikes ship mostly assembled with final assembly required. Important: all bikes purchased through City Grounds must be assembled by a certified bike shop mechanic — keep your assembly receipt, as warranty coverage is void without proof of professional assembly.
Can I add lights?
Lights aren't included, but both bikes are 12V light compatible, so you can wire in a headlight and taillight for low-light sessions.
What's the warranty and return policy?
Both bikes are backed by a 1-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in the frame, motor, battery, and electrical components. Warranty claims go through our team at warranty@citygrounds.com — professional assembly by a certified bike shop mechanic is required for coverage. See our warranty page for full terms.
