We just received a couple palettes of the 2010 Bianchi Nero. It's basically a Bianchi Pista murdered out with different decals, and boy does it look sexy! This bike will be available in stores tomorrow (Friday, May 28th) and will retail at $729.

Japan recently held a trick competition and all the big names were there. Marco's attempts at 540's were just nuts and same were the huge airs out of the quarters, but Kozo destroyed it! Landing a perfect backflip on his first trick in his run, giant foot jams, clean 360s, and insane flare attempts. These dudes have really brought it to a new level of riding. Brad Parker from Fixed Love made a sick little edit last Thursday. Corey and brad were hitting ledges and rails and I finally 180'd a 7 stair. Congo and Matt were telling me about these Velocity P35 rims for awhile, so i called up Velocity and had them send over a few rims. We'll have Matt Spencer test some out and keep you guys updated. With a 35mm wide rim, these make your standard Deep-V's look tiny! Velocity's tire size recommendation: "to be safe i wouldn't throw anything lower than a 700x38mm tire on there, even though you could ride a 700x35mm"

Got a HUGE batch of Panaracer Ribmo tires in this week. Available in 700x25, 700x28, and 700x32. I personally put a set of these tires on my bike and they ride great! We're an official dealer of Mavic wheels now, and we got our first order of Ellipse' in this past week. We only got the front wheel in, and should be expecting the matching rear wheel next week sometime. If you're interested in just the front wheel you can buy them online here

Our good friend Brad from Santa Monica swung by our Long Beach shop a couple weeks back and showed us his new line of Wheelmen bags. The material/quality on these hip pouches are unbelievable. We just got our first batch in and they should be available online and in-store by tomorrow.

Gorilla hooked up City Grounds with a Kilroy frame and a wheel set, and to say the least this thing is a beast! Rides super comfortable for commuting and still can hold down any trick you throw at it. Long Beach has a new trick night nicely named Meth Death Mondays. The boys at Fixed Love brought out some ramps and looks like things went off! Some clean grinds, a sick nose manual, and fun game of bike tag. Can't wait to be able to ride again!

Here is an updated flyer for the upcoming 10th aniversery of BFF in New York. A few City Grounds riders will also be there in full effect! Prolly will be hosting the fixed events for this year. Ramps and boxes should make the bunny-hop and freestyle comp go off! Make sure to keep an eye out and hit up a city near you.

So Long Beach has really kicked it up a notch lately with promoting itself as "the most cycling friendly urban city in the United States". May 7th-9th will kick off the 2nd Annual Long Beach Bicycle Festival and on Friday the 7th it will be the Fixed Gear Festival which City Grounds will be sponsoring located in East Village Arts District. There is going to be all kinds of awesome competitions including best trick, skid, foot down, along with many more. Gold Sprints will also be run by LBC Sprints. Brad Parker of Fixed Love has one of the sickest set-ups in his back yard. A handful of locals from Long Beach and a few heads from L.A. came down to ride. Definitely looks like they had a blast and there are some good lines as well.

Charles Gandy (Mobility Coordinator for the City of Long Beach) has been working his ass off getting Long Beach to be "The Most Bicycle Friendly City in America". Check out his progress in this video!

Andy Compton and Gus Molina from Fast Pace Zine came up to Long Beach to ride for the day and made a short edit from the few hours we filmed. We and rode Cabrillo High and San Pedro High.
