Description

The Whip is where our line really gets exciting. This bike is great for all types of riding, from street, plaza, park, and even trails. The 100% 4130 chromoly tubing used throughout the entire frame, fork, and handlebar set means you can go hard on this bike without worry. On top of that, the Whip features fully sealed bearings everywhere, which means a smoother ride and drastically reduced maintenance. The Whip comes in a Frost Silver colorway and is also available in an XL size for taller riders.

What Is OCEV?

According to California Bill No. 1271 (SEC.2312.5(d)), certain vehicles are specifically excluded from being classified as electric bikes under this code. These vehicles are categorized as Out of Class Electric Vehicles (OCEVs) for the following reasons:

  1. Highspeed Potential: Vehicles with two or three wheels that are designed by the manufacturer to be modifiable for speeds greater than 20 miles per hour on motor power alone or exceeding 750 watts of power.
  2. Post Sale Modifications: Any vehicle that has been modified to attain speeds greater than 20 miles per hour on motor power alone or to exceed 750 watts of power.

These exclusions ensure that only properly classified e-bikes can be markets as such, maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance. Riders of OCEV's should be aware of the different legal requirements and responsibilities associated with these vehicles.

Additionally, OCEVs are designed to offer performance and features beyond what traditional e-bikes can provide. Always verify the intended use and ensure you are compliant with local and state regulations when operating an OCEV.

All bikes purchased through City Grounds MUST be assembled by a certified bike shop mechanic. If the bike is NOT built by a certified bike shop mechanic, any warranty will be VOID. We will request for an assembly receipt as proof of professional installation.

For all warranty claims, please contact our Warranty Team at warranty@citygrounds.com. So that we can help you in a timely manner, make sure to include the following:

  • 1. Order Number (we will confirm date of purchase and determine if the item is still under the manufacturer’s warranty time limit)
  • 2. Brief description of the claim
  • 3. Photographs
  • 4. If the item is a bike or frame, include the serial number

We evaluate all warranties case-by-case to determine the best course of action and get you serviced to the best of our ability!

Warranty does not apply to the following:

  • • Any part of a product that has been installed, altered, repaired, or misused
  • • Damage from unintended style of riding, abuse, neglect, accident, and racing
  • • Normal wear and tear of any product (including but not limited to - saddles, grips, tires, tubes, cables, brake pads, chains)
  • • Failure to provide regular maintenance of any product

Labor and shipping are the responsibility of the customer. We do not cover parts purchased and labor performed by another bike shop.

Awesome Bike for the Money

Bike is strong, looks great, and my son and I are having a blast taking turns riding it as he's learning. It's quick, darty, and easy to control. Seat is comfortable, grips are great, and it just looks cool.
