Fraud / Scam Alert

In the past few weeks, we’ve noticed an onslaught of scam sites that are advertising on Google and other search sites and then defrauding users of money and/or personal and billing information.

We want to make sure you, our customers, have a heads up and know what to look out for when you're out shopping around.

Most of this might seem like common sense, but just in case here is a list of what to look out for:

  • Prices too good to be true! City Grounds prides itself on having the lowest prices on everything we carry, so if you see it somewhere much cheaper, that's a definite red flag.
  • Websites that have a similar sounding name to us. A lot of the scam sites are called things very close to "City Grounds".
  • Websites without a business e-mail, location information, social media presence or phone number.
  • Anyone carrying Crew Bike Co. products, which are exclusive to City Grounds.

If you are unsure at all whether a site is legit or a scam, we recommend contacting us, or the brand / manufacturer of the product you are attempting to buy to check.

Brands that have been affected by this include but are not limited to:

  • Haro Bikes
  • Fuji Bikes
  • SE Bikes
  • Crew Bike Co.
  • Raleigh Bikes
  • State Bicycle
  • Redline Bikes
  • DK Bikes
  • & many more...

The team here at City Grounds plans to do our part by regularly checking for potential scam advertisers and reporting them to the appropriate parties, but we could use your help too! If you see something that looks fishy, please let us know .

Thanks,
