The new SL42 wheelset from H Plus Son combines the look of the popular H Plus Son Formation Face rims, with a deep 42MM rim profile but adds an extra element. After over a year in development, the SL42 still remains as stiff, aerodynamic and light as the Formation Face but now includes a machined side wall for use of rim brakes. The machined side wall comes painted to match the color of the rim and keep that great deep dish look without an obtrusive brake track. I always wanted the look of the H Plus Son Formation Face rims, but also the option to add on a brake if I ever chose to without compromising the look of the bike. Recently, that is exactly what I did - I decided to give my knees a rest and throw a front brake on my 2009 Fuji Track Pro. I couldn't be happier with the result and would definitely recommend this wheelset to anyone looking to add a brake to their bike without ruining the aesthetic.
